Living Statues add classic fun to Columbia Maryland's "Wine in the Woods!"

Bacchus God of Wine
Classical Greek Statue
Is it real? Is it human?

When he suddenly moves, wine tasters wonder if maybe they've been tasting a bit too much!

Then they realize it's a "Living Statue," and that's all the fun.  This annual event, "Wine in the Woods," held in Columbia Maryland's Symphony Woods is a great way to celebrate spring and enjoy the wonderful entertainment, including our great statues!

Georgetown Graduation Party at Union Station

"Step right up, ladies and gentlemen, and children of all ages!"

It's time for that annual HUGE party for the current crop of graduates from Georgetown University, plus their parents, their siblings, their dates, faculty, and many many alumnae.  The guest list this year topped 6,000!  Talk about a "cast of thousands!"

Our company provided the dashing Ringmaster on your left, plus a fire eater, sword swallower, and stilt walker for the "Circus" section and a fetching show girl accompanied by a cheesy Elvis for the "Vegas" section.

Congratulations to all graduates everywhere!

One of our favorites: An International theme!

This event, with its international theme, gave us an opportunity to fill the ballroom with lots of wonderful performers.  The Asian section featured our fantastic paper cutter, as well as Chinese Ribbon and Fan dancers. Martha Washington and a singing harpist enlivened the America section.

The strange guy with the broom is the "Fool" character from Commedia dell'Arte.  He added some silly fun to the Italian section. And our low key mime charmed even the most mime-phobic guests with his bubbles and whimsy. A stilt walker, with his very long strides, was able to cross borders and greet guests in all the various regions.

Marie Antoinette, James Bond, and Queen Elizabeth The First -- what were they all doing at the Willard Hotel last week?

They were all there to entertain at the "Fabulous Women" luncheon held every year, to honor women of outstanding achievment.  James Bond charmed them as they played casino games, Queen Elizabeth I gave a brief talk, and Marie Antoinette served cupcakes.  Fun times!
